Umbrella

I carried Lucien's new umbrella when I went to pick him up at the centre de loisirs yesterday.  I smelled rain in the air and didn't want to miss an opportunity to celebrate the choice of UMBRELLA over DINOSAUR.

We walked home slowly and eyed the gray clouds hopefully but the rain never came.

Then we passed a store above which they were watering plants.  Water dripped off the awning onto the sidewalk.  Lucien used his umbrella and was pleased with its performance.

He also said he should have chosen the dinosaur

Live and learn, kid,
MJ

You don't have quiiiiite the level of pep in your snark as usual, but I am glad to see you are back after the quasi-nervous breakdown incident. ;)

This is quite possibly my favourite photo of your whole time in Paris :) You're an incredible mum, MJ.

Hello! I found your blog a couple weeks ago, I believe through "Peter's Paris", and have been enjoying it immensely. So much so that I started at the beginning and read it through. (I have a 3yr.old and almost 2 yr.old who prefer not to sleep...so I read at night) I love Paris, love hearing about your adventures as a resident and what it is like living there with young children. Having two little ones myself I can laugh and curse with you at the crazy, good times children bring to our lives! Keep those writer juices flowing...can't wait to read more! ~Melanie

Oh Nikki, no, I am not in fighting form. I'm still blaming it on summer vacation, and not having more than two seconds to myself, and that's only if I hide in the bathroom.

Bec, your comment comes at a time when I'm about to sell my two kids, so that's funny.

Hi Melanie and WELCOME. Happy to have you around. Wow, your kids must not sleep much if you had time to read the whole thing. I feel your pain. Kids are out to kill us all, I think.

Bye, ladies. I hope to be back to my usual self soon. Loosh goes back to school on the 5th, so that should help...yes, yes it should...

There is the theory that the abuse and over use of dinosaurs as anti-rain devices may have been a direct cause of their demise...It's just a theory...

This postcript to the previous post is short and sweet, as postscripts should be. Sell the kids, keep the umbrella, hmm...
